HCC offers a half-day
preschool for children ages 2-4 and kindergarten. The Preschool Program is an extension
of the ministry to families by HCC.
To effectively work toward the common purpose of fulfilling the
Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), we commit to the following goals:
1. Provide
a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment that encourages each
child to develop mentally, physically, spiritually, socially, and
emotionally.
2. Provide a ministry to
families of HCC and the surrounding community.
3. Provide a witness of
Christ and His Church to the children’s families.
In order
to achieve these goals, we commit to provide:
1. A quality weekday early education
program built on developmentally appropriate practices and committed to
excellence in every aspect.
2. Curriculum that is biblically based
and includes Bible stories and thoughts appropriate to the child’s level
of under- standing.
3. A staff that professes Christ as
Savior and exhibits Christian traits in caring for children and in
interaction with families, coworkers, and the community.
4. Positive guidance for children that
encourages problem-solving and managing negative emotions.
5. Respect and understanding to others
without regard to race, gender, nationality, or background.
6. Planned small and large-group
activities that permit each child to progress and enjoy success.
