6.2 Sightings
* March, 2007 *
Sighting # 1 Again our
HCC Family rallies support for their mission’s projects. Our Fellowship and
Caring Ministry Team sponsored the Valentine Banquet and Cake Auction and YOU
attended, donated a cake, or purchased a cake! The cake auction raised
$262.05 for the Niños de México Mission
Team and another $100 was raised by the team working childcare.
Sighting # 2 Living in
Community was demonstrated February 17th during the Scouting for Food project. Cub Scout Pack #
412, sponsored by HCC, is made up of 7 dens of boys from 1st
through 5th grade. Pack #412 collected 1083 lbs. of food.
Then, they donated the food to our Hispanic Congregation, who is setting up
their own food pantry as an outreach project.
Sighting # 3 Lauren
Ketron was recently honored with a Good Citizenship award for her
involvement in the community. She has volunteered at the hospital and with
many other organizations and clubs through school. Way to go Lauren!
Other Missions News
Jed Sheehan is currently working towards his goal of spending a month
in Russia.
Watch our publications for updates to this project and for ways you can
help. Jed is currently seeking odd jobs within our HCC Family to raise
funds for his trip. So, if you have a job you need help with, please give
Jed a call.
Niños de México Mission Update
EASTER BASKET
FUND RAISER
The Ladies Circle is putting together Easter Baskets for
a silent Auction to help raise money for the Mission Trip to Mexico.
Your help is needed. Please consider donating items for us to use to create
these baskets. For example chocolate, stuffed animals, other Easter
Candy, or whatever you usually see in an Easter Basket, oh, and baskets
too! We will set the baskets out in the foyer for all to see and bid on. Should
you have any questions please contact Rachel Fields, Lisa Dunn or Linda
Duke. We will be accepting donations until March 11th. Baskets
will be on sale starting March 17th. All bidding will be
completed on April 1st. Just in time for Easter.

Are you
spring cleaning and have boxes and bags of items to give away? Well, we
have a deal for you! We have a consignment account set up with Country
Treasures at 4019 Old Railroad
Bed Road, Harvest, to raise funds for our Niños
de México Mission trip. All donations are
