6.2 Sightings
* January, 2007 *
Sighting # 1 On
December 8, the 7 & 8th grade girls’ small group of our
Sunday Night Youth program visited The Madison Village bringing Christmas
Cheer to the residents. They sang songs, performed a skit, delivered
ornaments they had made and shared cookies home baked by HCC friends. Thank you to Hannah Bailey, Melanie
Berry, Carolyn Davidson, Heather Fields, Lindsey Harris, Kayla Hemm, Mary Beth Hopkins, and Theresa
Reier for their participation in this Service Project. We also thank
the community group members who helped us by providing cookies; the Case, Eklund, Kean, and Wagner families.
Sighting # 2 In
December YOU, our HCC Family, responded to the call
of our Missions Ministry Team. The outpouring of God’s love represented by
the abundance of gifts you brought to share with the sponsored families
this Christmas was amazing. Every one of you helped to make Christmas
morning a little extra special by sharing your Love for our Lord by
responding to his call. Thank you! Watch for pictures coming soon at a missions moment in January.
Sighting # 3 and Niños De Mexico
Trip Update:
Our Missions Team is pleased
to announce that your participation in our fundraisers has been
extraordinary. We have raised $488.50 from the calendar sales, $390 from
the church wide Tupperware party, $219.49 from the Christmas Bazaar, $190
from the first childcare event, and $353 from the second childcare event.
This is truly living in community where our church family helps support
each other in their ministries. We look forward to seeing every one at the
2nd annual Talent Show and Chili & Soup Supper on Saturday, January
20th.
We are pleased to announce
that Joni Bliffen has joined our
Missions Team. We have also offered the 3 open spaces to Decatur Christian
and we have 1 couple seriously considering participating with us.
