In January, 2004,
the Missions Ministry Team took five members from H.C.C. and three from our
sister Hispanic Church from Decatur,
Alabama to Zacatepec, Morelos, Mexico.
We worked with the local church members in replacing a wooden roof with a
concrete slab so that in the near future, the church members would be able
to add classroom space as a second floor. We also witnessed the local
church carrying out outdoor drama in order to reach the community. We
distributed caps, school supplies, sundry items, and over 100 T-shirts to
the needy. This was the first trip for a couple of our church members
and they would like to go again. Our Lord blessed us with such a
great experience to be able to worship and "enlarge our borders."
