About HCC's Preschool Ministry Our preschool is available to students ages 2, 3 & 4 and is a fun place to be on Sunday mornings. The teachers in each room are trained to love and nurture children and to impart truth from God's word. Our workers are compelled by Matthew 10:42, which says, ". . . and whoever gives a cup of cold water to one of these little ones will no lose his reward." We want to give our best to Jesus by serving these little ones. As children arrive, friendly grown-ups greet them and their parents. Our ministry motivation comes from Mark 10: 13-16. where Jesus teaches us to "not hinder the children from coming to Him for the kingdom belongs to the children." Because children are an integral part of the Kingdom of God we want to speak their language! Thus, children are met by the fun, colorful hallways of the Nursery and Preschool areas. Schedule Preschool - Sunday Morning The Preschool class meets in Room 11 otherwise known as the Purple Room in the children's wing of the church. Preschool students can be dropped off before Sunday School and before worship service. Please have a parents/guardian drop off and pick up preschool students from the nursery. We will not release preschool students to siblings or friends. This rule is strictly enforced. * Please note that if you drop off your children for Sunday School, they can stay in class through the worship service. They do not need to be rechecked in between. 9:30AM - 10:45AM - Sunday School Hour 11:00AM - Worship Hour Chilren's Check in / Out Procedures The safety of our kids here at HCc is one of the most important things to us. All children nursery thru 5th grade must be checked and in out for Sunday School and Worship Hour. Vist our children's check in / out procedures page here Curriculum During our Sunday School Hour, our preschool students experience a time of prayer, story time, and craft time. Each week our preschoolers work on memorizing a simple Bible verse. During our worship hour preschool students are learning from Group's Hands On Bible Curriculum. Kid's can't wait to get their hands on colorful, fun gizmos - and that's the point. Each gizmo leads kid's straight to the heart of a Bible lesson. When "play" turns into "active learning," know that we're teaching in a way that God has wired you're children to learn best! Join the Team Will you join us as we partner with parents to raise a passionate and devoted generation of children for Jesus? We need Sunday morning volunteers to help with our Preschool (2, 3 & 4yr olds) to play, love, teach and learn with kids in both our Sunday school classes' and during the 11:00AM worship service. How to Get Involved Out goal in our Preschool class' is to provide a safe, secure, loving environment for our kids. Therefore, we want to make sure our volunteers are safe and loving people for our kids. To join our preschool team:
- Complete an application. You can get a copy of it here
- Once we receive your application, you will be contacted by one of our staff members for 15-20 minute interview.
- We will run a security background check on every volunteer
- Upon approval, you'll be assigned a certain week to work each month in the age that you have chosen
